Daniel Asselin

[He/Him]

Strategic Advisor

For more than four decades, Daniel Asselin has dedicated his expertise to supporting organizations seeking to achieve meaningful results and lasting change.

A respected leader in Quebec’s philanthropic sector, he has contributed to more than 300 fundraising campaigns, including the largest campaign of his career at his alma mater, the Université de Sherbrooke, with a fundraising goal of $250 million.

Philanthropy has always been at the heart of Daniel’s professional and personal journey. For him, it is a space where people come together, values converge, and communities are transformed in meaningful ways. Driven by the belief that lasting change is achieved through collective action, Daniel has built his career at the intersection of strategy, leadership, and community engagement. He firmly believes that the most significant philanthropic achievements are built on strong partnerships among donors, philanthropic families, and frontline organizations. His favorite projects? Working alongside major philanthropic families to create an immediate and meaningful impact.

Daniel is also deeply committed to frontline causes, where the impact is immediate, tangible, and, above all, human. His involvement in the creation of 24h Tremblant remains one of the collective initiatives that has had the greatest impact on him.

Throughout his career, he has chosen to work alongside nonprofit organizations because they represent the heart of their communities. What motivates him most is the opportunity to meet exceptional people who bring meaningful, purpose-driven projects to life and inspire lasting change.

Entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and physical activity are central to Daniel’s life. What drives him most in his work is achieving results, creating tangible change, and bringing people together around shared values to make an immediate difference.

His vision for the future of philanthropy in Quebec is clear: to unite strengths, foster greater collaboration, and amplify collective impact for the benefit of communities.
