Daniel H. Lanteigne is a leading figure in Canadian philanthropy, combining expertise and humanism to advance this vital sector. Active for many years, he held various positions in general management, development and communications before joining BNP Inspire in 2020 as Vice President, Talent, Strategy & Impact.
From an early age, Daniel has been committed to supporting the causes of organizations that aim to reduce inequalities and improve communities. In his role, he applies a holistic approach, combining talent management, governance and philanthropic strategies, while recognizing the need to professionalize the sector to maximize its impact.
Since 2025, Daniel has held a Master’s degree in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership (MPNL) from Carleton University. He continues his commitment to advancing the sector, notably by designing the Philanthropic Governance course offered at the College of Corporate Directors. He has also taught talent management at the University of Montreal and the course “ABC of Fundraising” for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), contributing to the training of the next generation.
Daniel places particular emphasis on capacity building to increase sector knowledge, promote sound governance, and improve the quality of talent management practices. He is also deeply committed to issues of well-being and mental health, which he considers essential to supporting sustainable leadership and a stronger philanthropic sector.
During his career at BNP Inspire, he has contributed to the success of numerous executive and senior management recruitments. He has also provided decisive insights into various governance issues and played a key role in several strategic planning initiatives. He directly influences the trajectory of the organizations he advises, strengthening their ability to question themselves and make informed decisions. Since 2025, he has been a guest expert at Les Affaires, where he offers a critical and constructive perspective on the philanthropic ecosystem. Outside work, he is passionate about the arts, culture, politics and other causes close to his heart.
