For more than twenty years, Marie-Hélène has supported organizations, primarily in the education and healthcare sectors, in the development of their philanthropic initiatives. She has extensive expertise in philanthropic strategy, major campaigns, and relationship development with foundations, corporations, and philanthropists. Throughout her career, she has contributed to the success of large-scale campaigns, the development of strategic partnerships, and the creation of fundraising strategies tailored to organizations’ objectives.

Recognized for her strategic approach and her ability to support leaders in complex environments, she develops philanthropic strategies, builds major gift pipelines, and supports organizations in achieving their development priorities. Her career has also led her to design and implement strategic plans, develop partnerships, sponsorships, and grant initiatives, as well as represent organizations with their partners.

Alongside her role at BNP Inspire, she also serves as Executive Director of the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie Rivière-du-Nord in the Laurentians. Previously, she held senior advisor and philanthropic development director positions at the Fondation du CHUM, the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation, and Université de Montréal, where she contributed to the implementation of major philanthropic projects.

  • Featured in Le Devoir’s special “Philanthropy” section (2025), in recognition of her contribution to major philanthropic projects.
  • Selected for BNP Inspire’s “25 Faces, 25 Impacts” exhibition (2025), highlighting individuals who have made a remarkable contribution to the development of philanthropy.
  • Ann-Boudreau-Paiement Award (2024), presented to the UQAT Foundation by the Rouyn-Noranda Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Master’s thesis accepted without revisions, with an “Excellent” distinction, following the unanimous recommendation of the jury (2023).

Achievements

  • Led the UQAT Foundation’s Bâtir l’avenir maintenant major campaign, the largest in the institution’s history, launched with a $25 million goal and ultimately exceeding that target.
  • Through this campaign, contributed to the development of major initiatives, including two research chairs, the James Bay Observatory, the new Mont-Laurier campus, student scholarship programs, and an interdisciplinary teaching and research clinic in healthcare and psychosocial services.
  • Created five scholarship programs to support the success of UQAT’s student and scientific community, including one program for Indigenous students.
  • Produced scientific publications and presentations in philanthropy, particularly on donor retention and the evolution of philanthropy in Quebec.
