With more than thirty year’s experience in the not-for-profit sector across Canada, Lee Pigeau is a seasoned leader. He has designed and led challenging strategies that have fostered growth, raised public awareness, improved governance and achieved the most ambitious fundraising goals.
Lee has held influential positions such as Director of Philanthropy for the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation, National Executive Director of the Canadian Hard of hearing Association and the Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians as well as CEO of Habitat for Humanity Huronia and adjunct member of Georgian College’s Fundraising and Resource Development Program. He is also a contributing author to “The Vigilant Fundraiser”.
He has led fundraising campaigns at Trent and Lakehead Universities, and served as Executive Director of the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation. Lee has shared his expertise at various international, national and provincial conferences on topics such as volunteer management and motivation, board/staff relations, and fundraising and goal setting.
Lee wrote the Ontario Standard Curriculum for e-learning fundraising at the college level for Georgian College. As a consultant, he has worked with small local organizations as well as large multinational charities, on aspects such as board and staff relations, management, major gifts, major fundraising campaigns, donor loyalty and recognition, and strategic planning.
Active in the community, Lee was a former Board Member of Obesity Canada, and the AFP Ottawa Education Committee. He is also a marketing volunteer for the CHITF Taekwondo Associations in Canada and the Dominican Republic. His community involvement and expertise in philanthropy make him a valuable asset to any non-profit organization.
