Moncef Lakouas, who holds a BAA with a concentration in finance and accounting, has over 10 years’ professional experience in governance, organizational management and philanthropy. Over the course of his career, he has held a variety of management positions, including Executive Director at BGC Moncton, President of the New Brunswick Multicultural Council, organizational design consultant, President of the Fédération des Étudiantes et Étudiants de l’Université de Moncton and member of the cooperative committee for the southeast region of UNI Coopération Financière.
These various responsibilities have enabled him to develop a deep understanding of the needs of vulnerable populations and to devote his energy to meaningful community projects. Passionate about helping others, Moncef has always sought to make a positive difference through his community involvement. For him, professional involvement in philanthropy means giving of oneself to those in need. His commitment to philanthropy, shaped by over 10 years’ experience, has become a true vocation: helping to improve the world, one cause at a time.
Moncef stands out for his pride in the complete transformation of a youth association he led, taking it from a small, little-known entity to an influential local and regional community movement dedicated to the well-being of disadvantaged young people. Convinced of the transformative potential of the social sector, Moncef aspires to alleviate the emotional and financial burden of young people facing difficulties. He particularly values sharing essential resources with the most vulnerable to meet their daily needs.
As a committed professional, Moncef has identified several major challenges in crucial areas such as health and education. He strives to promote access to quality education and support medical research to combat diseases such as cancer. Touched by the loss of loved ones to this disease, he is determined to support education, health and immigration initiatives aimed at improving healthcare for all.
