A recognized leader in the philanthropic and community sector, Rob brings more than 30 years of professional experience in philanthropy and over 35 years of volunteer engagement. Throughout his career, he has supported numerous organizations in aligning their strategy, governance, and organizational culture, enabling them to act with clarity, integrity, and a long-term vision.
Philanthropy plays a central role in Rob’s career. He is particularly inspired by organizations that strengthen community well-being and social connections, especially in the areas of arts and culture, community philanthropy, and restorative justice. For him, these sectors have the power to bring people together, create spaces for dialogue, and contribute to stronger, more creative, and more connected communities.
Throughout his career, Rob has been guided by a strong conviction: organizations, through their mission, play a unique role in society. They respond to needs that neither governments nor the private sector can address on their own. This is why he is committed to supporting leaders and teams in building strong strategies, sustainable systems, and organizational cultures that foster meaningful impact.
Among the notable achievements in his career, Rob led a $4.5 million major campaign to modernize accessibility and infrastructure at the Kay Meek Arts Centre, contributed to the organizational transformation of the North Shore Restorative Justice Society, and participated in launching the North Shore Vital Signs initiative with the West Vancouver Community Foundation, positioning the organization as an influential voice in community philanthropy.
Beyond his professional roles, Rob has been actively involved in numerous causes, notably serving as President of the Bowen Island Arts Council, the BC Association for Charitable Gaming, and the ArtsPoints Charitable Foundation, helping strengthen cultural and community networks across several regions.
Driven by a deep passion for building strong and connected communities, Rob believes that the most powerful changes emerge when donors, organizations, governments, and citizens work together rather than separately. His vision for the future of philanthropy is clear: to foster sustainable collaboration, support community leadership, and strengthen collective impact in communities across Canada.
