BNP Inspire was co-founded over 25 years ago by Jean Robert Nolet and Christian Bolduc.

1970 - 2010

The Bolduc Family's Community Involvement

In the heart of the Beauce region, the Bolduc family embodies deep-rooted values of community service. Christian Bolduc, deeply influenced by his mother’s devotion to helping others, saw in her a model of leadership and involvement that prepared him to follow in her footsteps in the world of philanthropy

The Beginnings of Structured Philanthropy in Quebec

Philanthropy in Quebec was marked by the involvement of dedicated but often untrained volunteers. The first hospital foundations and hospices emerge, laying the foundations for a more organized and structured philanthropy.

1980-1990

1995

Discovering Philanthropy and Meeting Jean Robert Nolet

Christian takes part in a fundraising campaign for the Beauce Regional Hospital Foundation. His meeting with Jean Robert Nolet, a renowned consultant in the field, marked a decisive turning point and paved the way for a new professional vocation focused on social and community impact.

Founding of Jean Robert Nolet Associates

After working together in a pan-Canadian consulting firm, Christian and Jean Robert founded Jean Robert Nolet Associates. With only a computer, a telephone and a great deal of determination, they set up their office in Jean Robert’s Montreal apartment.

Early 2000s

Arrival of Jacques Primeau and Jean Guy Lewis

Jacques Primeau joins the Jean Robert Nolet Associates team, with expertise in the hospital sector. This expansion of skills strengthens the team and enables the company to diversify its services and broaden its impact.

Name Change to Bolduc Nolet Primeau and Associates

The company changes its name to Bolduc Nolet Primeau and Associates. The new name reflects the recognition of individual contributions, the expansion of the team and the expansion of its activities. Jean Guy Lewis joined the team in 2003 and became a BNP shareholder.

2000s

Early 2000s

Professionalization of philanthropy in Quebec and growth of BNP

This period saw the professionalization of philanthropy in Quebec. BNP develops specialized training for general managers to improve philanthropic management strategies in Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Eastern and Northern Ontario.

Name Change to BNP Philanthropic Management Strategies

Christian, Jean Robert and Jacques take part in philanthropic events and conventions. The name “BNP”, using the first letters of their surnames, becomes commonplace. The simplicity of this name leads to the adoption of BNP Philanthropic Management Strategies.

2012

2015

Name Change to BNP Philanthropic Performance

The company modernizes its name to BNP Philanthropic Performance to reflect a renewed commitment to excellence in philanthropy. This change marks an important step in the company’s evolution and underscores its adaptation to the new demands and aspirations of the sector.

A New Beginning and a First Strategic Plan

Jean Robert Nolet passes away in July 2017 after more than 18 years serving the company’s clients and a 37-year career in philanthropy. Christian Bolduc becomes sole shareholder and decides to endow the organization with its first strategic plan and a new vision for the next stages of development.

2020

A new phase of growth and the acquisition of The Goldie Company

BNP acquires The Goldie Company, a firm active in Ontario and Western Canada, in the fall of 2020, and continues its expansion.

The First Pan-Canadian Philanthropic Consulting Firm to Receive B Corp Certification

BNP Philanthropic Performance is the first and only philanthropic consulting firm in Canada to receive B Corp certification. This is a long-term commitment with a rigorous process that pushes the company to go the extra mile!

BNP Philanthropic Performance becomes BNP Inspire

To reaffirm its new positioning based on creativity, agility, audacity and experience at the heart of its support, BNP Philanthropic Performance becomes BNP Inspire. It’s a shift that reinforces our commitment to elevating philanthropy across Canada.
