Esther Tranchemontagne, a native of the Lotbinière region, attended Notre-Dame-de-Bellevue College and Jésus-Marie de Sillery College, continuing her college studies at the Petit Séminaire de Québec before pursuing her academic career in political science at University of Laval. Her career is marked by her commitment to people and philanthropy, currently she is Executive Vice-President at BNP Inspire.
After taking on the role of first lay director of residence at her alma mater, Jésus-Marie de Sillery College, Esther became actively involved on the board of the College Foundation. Her passion for philanthropy led her to become professionally involved in this field, notably by joining the Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy, where she worked as events manager for the convention department and coordinator of the establishment’s major fundraising campaign.
Convinced that the social economy can benefit from a strengthened philanthropic culture, Esther joined BNP Inspire in 2015. Her goal is to put her skills to work for a variety of causes, making a significant contribution to the Quebec and Canadian communities. Her human-centered approach, inspired by her experience in the field of education, is evident in her ability to accompany her clients with particular attention to their personal and professional development. Today, she serves her clients with rigor, while advocating a healthy balance between professional and private life.
In this same perspective, she joins the ranks of the 35th Service Battalion as Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel with pride and a deep desire to contribute to the continuity and evolution of this institution which is at the service of the military community and the community at large.
Committed to a variety of causes, Esther has been an ambassador for the Quebec City YWCA and the “From Shadow to Light” event, where she celebrated women’s resilience. She also supports the Laurent & cie Philanthropic Fund, which helps families of children with rare and orphan diseases or cancer, and is proudly involved with BE Bénévoles d’expertise, promoting skilled volunteering. Since the pandemic, she has been a trustee of the 35th Service Battalion Foundation.
For over fifteen years, she has been passing on her knowledge of business etiquette and protocol. It’s worth noting that students at University of Laval’s Faculty of Business Administration rely on her to mentor them as they prepare for the Jeux du commerce.
Her three wishes for a better world are clear:
- That everyone can put their talents at the service of a cause or institution in harmony with their values,
- That collaboration at all times and in all places be a priority,
- That the new generation of leaders continues to develop and spread a philanthropic culture based on mutual aid and sharing.
